Welcome to Vintage Estate · Downtown Bozeman

A historic estate.
A different way to stay.

The best group trips leave room for both connection and independence. Vintage Estate is a place to bring your favorite people together, share the moments you came for, and still close your own front door at the end of the day.

Set on one downtown Bozeman property, three fully furnished private suites offer a different way to stay. Reserve the entire estate for up to eight guests, combine V1 and V2 as Vintage House, or choose an individual suite when available. Each has its own exterior entrance, with no internal connections between suites.

Life at Vintage Estate
Together, at your own pace

A home base for your people.
A retreat for yourself.

Some mornings begin together. Others begin with a little quiet. Here, your group can share a destination without sharing every moment of the day.

Time worth sharing.

Meet for coffee, head out to explore, and return with stories from the day. When you reserve the entire estate, its garden, terraces, outdoor dining areas, and places to sit by the fire become part of your shared home base. There is space for a slow meal, an unhurried conversation, or simply being in good company.

Your own front door.

Rouse House is the historic estate house and the heart of a whole-estate stay. Across its three levels are a chef’s kitchen, dining space for all eight overnight guests, and places to relax together. Its lavish upstairs king bedroom has a private ensuite full bathroom, with two additional half baths elsewhere in the home. Vintage House occupies the original carriage-house site, now arranged as a duplex. Garden-level V1 has two queen bedrooms, one bathroom, and an efficiency kitchen; the one-story walk-up V2 has a king bedroom, one bathroom, and a full kitchen. All three suites have laundry. Both suites have their own exterior entrances and are not internally connected, preserving a private place for each part of your group. Couples, family members, and friends can settle into their own routines, then come back together when they choose.

A sense of place.

Historic brick exteriors give way to contemporary interiors, bringing Bozeman’s past into conversation with the way we live today. The 1881 Rouse House, once home to town founder Daniel Rouse, underwent a years-long restoration. A commitment to comfort and thoughtful design informs the home’s thoughtful details.

Bozeman beyond the gate.

Step out for a pastry, take your time over dinner, or explore downtown’s shops and galleries. The estate’s address lets a day unfold on foot, with mountain adventures to plan beyond town. Jen, a friend of the owners and your person in Bozeman, is happy to talk through the suites and help you shape a stay that feels like your own.

Historic outside.
Ultra-modern within.

Rouse House holds two eras in one address. Its 1881 brick exterior gives way to a distinctly modern interior: glass, concrete, dark finishes and clean architectural lines. Beyond the door, lawns and terraces offer room to slow down together.

Room to be together.
Space to be yourself.

Every suite has its own exterior entrance, with no internal connecting doors. Vintage House is the duplex on the original carriage-house site: two-bedroom, one-bath garden-level V1 and one-bedroom, one-bath walk-up V2. Reserve both as Vintage House, or add the historic Rouse House for the complete Vintage Estate.

History & restoration

A Bozeman Original,
Beautifully Reawakened

Some places offer a glimpse of history. At Vintage Estate, you can make yourself at home in it.

Built in 1881, Rouse House was the residence of Daniel E. Rouse, who helped John Bozeman and William J. Beall lay out the town in 1864. Its distinctive Gothic gable, warm brickwork, and stone-trimmed arches connect your stay to Bozeman’s earliest chapters.

Individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the home began its newest chapter with a painstaking restoration. Historic architecture and contemporary design come together with carefully integrated modern comforts.

In 2025, Rouse House received Bozeman’s Preservation Innovation award for a large project. SAV Digital Environments’ work on the home also earned Gold and Silver in the CE Pro Home of the Year Awards.

Today, Rouse House is the heart of Vintage Estate: a place to cook, gather around the table, and settle into downtown Bozeman.

Care in the everyday details

A thoughtfully
cared-for home.

Care extends to the everyday details of the home. Wherever practical, the estate uses cleaning products, linens, and personal-care essentials with the aim of reducing unnecessary chemical exposure. Thoughtful choices from brands including Blueland, Branch Basics, Quince, and Kettle Care reflect that approach.

Products may vary. If you have allergies, fragrance sensitivities, or specific product needs, please discuss them with Jen before booking.
